Brief Summary 5 : Stuff-o-meter

  • Different style for point of sale display and public awareness campaign.

  • Point of Sale – Friendlier, need to show all the information but in a way that will not deter the customers from buying the products.
  • Interactive display? Sort of game show like graphics, the user can guess whether or not the product has a high environmental cost or a low one. Then they can explore what this is.
  • Website where you move the mouse over an item and it explodes into pieces. User can then click on the pieces and have a look at how they were made and the waste involved and transport etc.

  • Public awareness campaign – could be more shocking than if it were in a retail place. Show the waste in images.
